Siting a power facility, especially an EHV system covering diverse landscape requires an innate knowledge of the electrical system as well as the environmental peculiarities associated power transmission and substation systems. Factors such as sensitive environmental resources, land jurisdiction, EMF, electrical safety, code required clearances, electrical noise and signal interference become very real concerns for members of the public when such facilities are proposed.
