ECI Environmental Services has a "Whole Team Approach" to environmental services that provides the client with a superior final product. Environmental processes are closely coordinated with engineering analysis to insure the client receives "cradle to grave" vision for all design projects. We offer proven environmental experience across a wide range of projects, including transmission and distribution lines, substations, renewable energy projects, industrial facilities, well fields, and mining facilities.
Siting a power facility, especially an EHV system covering diverse landscape requires an innate knowledge of the electrical system as well as the environmental peculiarities associated power transmission and substation systems. Factors such as sensitive environmental resources, land jurisdiction, EMF, electrical safety, code required clearances, electrical noise and signal interference become very real concerns for members of the public when such facilities are proposed. ECI Environmental Services possesses the internal expertise to address these issues throughout the siting and environmental permitting process.
In addition, due to ECI's solid history in electrical utility design, our team possesses an intimate knowledge of much of the electrical system across the western states. This knowledge allows ECI to troubleshoot issues that are unique to the environmental permitting and siting of power facilities which might not be considered within the environmental work for other types of facilities - making ECI's Environmental Team the ideal choice for the environmental siting of any power-related project.
In addition to specialized experience necessary for the initial siting study phase of a project, the ECI team provides planning resources to move a project forward seamlessly into the design phase. Our team possesses the ability to provide systems studies and detailed design in addition to procurement services, construction management as well as field resource mitigation monitoring and reporting services.
